We are excited to host another Beach Clean Up for World Ocean Day. World Ocean Day is an international day that takes place annually on 8 June. It raises the profile of the ocean, connects people worldwide, and inspires continuing action year-round to protect and restore our ocean.
We are taking action this year by organising a beach clean up at Te Kaihīnaki / Moeraki Boulders. Think of the beach as a bridge between the land and the marine environment. It’s a critical biodiversity area. Cleaning our beaches is a step towards cleaning our oceans.
Bring the whole family and join us for a fun day out at one of our beautiful local beaches to collect litter and learn more about one of our Geosites.
Details:
When: Sunday 12 June 2022, 10 - 11AM
