15.05.21 COMMUNITY PLANTING DAY AT CLIFTON FALLS, FIVE FORKS

We invite you to play a part in this exciting community project and join us for a fun day out! Bring your whole family and plant some native trees!

The Clifton Falls Walkway Community project is an ORC Ecofund recipient and aims to improve biodiversity and habitat for native birds and invertebrates by creating a riparian corridor alongside the walkway, using a variety of locally sourced native plant species. It also aims to provide hands-on educational opportunities to local schools; and to engage with the local Moeraki rūnaka on ways to improve the cultural health of this section of the river, for example by planting flax and allowing mahinga kai. The Waitaki Whitestone Geopark is proud to support this community project!
